The Foundation has been in existence since 1980 and has built a credible reputation over this time with all stakeholders.

  • HSFSA has been granted permission by the National Department of Health to act as the endorsing body for the Heart Mark programme
  • Businesses are only granted permission to use the Heart Mark logo once the product has undergone nutritional testing at an independent laboratory and our Nutritional Science team has evaluated the food according to strict science-based criteria. The Heart Mark criteria is reviewed on an on-going basis to ensure it remains up to date with the latest local and international dietary guidelines.
  • Over 450 endorsed products, across 59 different product categories and sub-categories, options carrying the HM can be found for most food types
